Religious Change
Religion is not static, but changes over time as do other elements of culture. Based on the readings, what factors are important for religious change, such as the significance of the Muslim veil or the rising power seen in small terrorist groups, due to globalization and constant media coverage? Identify a religious change, either the emergence of a new movement or the change of a ritual, practice, or dogma, you have observed in your own culture. Provide evidence for that change, in the form of a reference. How would you explain that change? What social, economic, or cultural factors led to the change?
Your initial post should be at least 250 words in length. Support your claims with examples from required material(s) and/or other scholarly resources, and properly cite any references.
