2. Issues in Infant/Toddler and Preschool Assessment Paper (250 Points)
After carefully reading Mindes & Jung Chapters 9 & 10. You will write at least 4 pages opinion paper about issues in assessment. You can choose your own topic related to these chapters or you can further the issues mentioned in these chapters. Examples (these are only suggestions):
· How do we assess babies and why is this assessment important?
· How does assessment lead to intervention?
· Why is it important to identify at-risk infants and toddlers?
· When and how do we assess preschoolers?
· What is the role of screening in the early childhood program? What are the limitations?
· What steps must a teacher take in a referral process? How will parents get informed?
